Welcome to FreeFlyingFemale!
This blog is about staying true to yourself. No matter your religion, the color of your skin, your political stance, your hair color, how much you weigh – we don’t care about any of that. What we care about is that you love who you are.
The authors on this blog are two girls from Texas, with a lot of Texas blood running through their veins. So I’m sure a lot of what we’re going to say is probably going to be straight forward and might seem a little crass to a few of you “snowflakes” out there. (Snowflakes is such a nice insult if you think about it. I mean, snowflakes are beautiful & one-of-a-kind, heh.)
Morgan: I for one, am not going to lie to you – there will be people out there who don’t like you or don’t accept you. That’s life. Have yourself a good cry, get over it, and forget them.
Amber: I don’t really know how to be Morgan lol. I don’t really like people in general, but when I do invest in you, it breaks my cold, dead heart when things go wrong. (Hard exterior, marshmallowy center, my heart is.) I’m learning to let go. Like Morgan, though, I’m not going to lie to you. The world is full of people who don’t want you to be happy and don’t want you to like yourself. Even your friends. At some point, you have to make the decision to just focus on what makes you happy and what makes you you, and leave the rest behind. They can kiss your awesomely epic booty as you walk out their lives.
Through our own misadventures, we want to inspire you to stick to your gut, to your dreams, and not let anyone else pull or hold you down.
If you have already decided that you’re going to hate everything we say or write because we are from Texas…screw you. Quit reading and move on, we don’t need your negativity. That’s part of the reason for having two writers on this blog. We each bring our own unique perspective to situations. And yes, we’ve been friends since childhood but that doesn’t mean we have all of the same values and beliefs. We wanted to see the similarities and differences in the struggles we face despite the fact we lead pretty different lives. And, well, we like each other, and this seemed fun.
Our goal is to have a few posts that are written by the both of us. Together. To merge our “unique perspectives” on the same issue.
Now to meet the authors.
